Much More than Light Rail for Nashville

Mayor Berry recently rolled out a new (and desperately needed) transit proposal for the City.  We have been hearing about greenways and light rail, but this is a doozy.  Mass transit…underground!  The total plan has a price tag of a whopping $5.2 BILLION, with a mere $936 MILLION for the tunnel system.  We have also heard about geology reports indicating the underground construction would be cost-prohibitive, but the transit team believes otherwise.  There is a ton of detail regarding the plan available from The Tennessean here.
