Biggerpockets.com is an excellent resource for all things real estate investing.  As part of Omni Realty Nashville’s commitment to our clients, we stay abreast of market statistics and trends so we can plan accordingly and remain proactive instead of reactive.  In reviewing some of these trends for last year regarding rental rates, the outcome was mixed but definitely yielded a slow-down in rent escalations.  Nationally, the average rent for a 2 bedroom apartment remained relatively flat.  Rents did increase in 29 states over the year, but by only within 2%.  Rents declined in 22 states.  To see more related statistics, check out the article written by Sam Radbil here.  The good news for the Greater Nashvile rental market is that rents escalated above the national average both for new leases and renewals, with some sub-markets posting even higher.  To find out more don’t hesitate to contact the professionals at Omni Realty Nashville.
