CNBC recently reported that Elon Musk, billionaire founder of Tesla, Inc. and SpaceX, has moved to Austin, Texas from California. Musk is among many wealthy business people, as well as everyday workers, who are deciding to escape larger cities and migrate to smaller, more affordable parts of the country. Nashville, TN finds itself in the top three cities that people are migrating to from areas like Hartford, CT, New York City and the San Francisco Bay area. LinkedIn compiled data which analyzed the top cities that gained the most people from April 2020 to October 2020, based on zip code changes across its 174 million U.S. based LinkedIn members. Overall, it seems that people are seeking a cheaper place to live, with lower taxes and a better quality of life. Nashville certainly fits the bill and that is why our housing market has remained strong throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Are you interested in moving to the Nashville area?
